ഇന്നത്തെ മലയാള മനോരമയിൽ വന്ന ഒരു വാർത്താശകലമാണ് ഈ കുറിപ്പിന് ആധാരം. കാലടിക്കാരൻ സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ എൻജിനീർ ബാലശങ്കറിന്റേയും മലപ്പുറത്തുകാരി മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി രശ്‌മികയുടെയും വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം ലോക്ക് ഡൗൺ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾക്കു വിധേയമായി ZOOM Platform എന്ന സങ്കേതം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തുതന്നെ നടത്തി . വരന്റെയും വധുവിന്റെയും ബന്ധുക്കളായ നൂറിൽ അധികം കുടുംബങ്ങൾ ഈ ചടങ്ങിൽ (അവരവരുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ ഇരുന്നുതന്നെ) പങ്കെടുത്തു . വിവാഹനിശ്ചയ ചടങ്ങിന് ചെലവാക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന പണം കോവിഡ് ദുരിതാശ്വാസ ഫണ്ടിലേക്ക് സംഭാവന ചെയ്തു .......
സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ ഏറ്റവും വികസിച്ച ഇക്കാലത്തു ഇത്തരം വിർച്യുൽ വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയങ്ങൾ എത്രയോ അനായാസം സംഘടിപ്പിക്കാം ! വിവാഹവും വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയവും രണ്ടു ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടത്തുന്ന രീതിക്കു ഒരു ഗുണപരമായ മാറ്റമാണ് ഇത്തരം ന്യൂജൻ പരിപാടി നൽകുന്നത് . കോവിദാനന്തര ലോകം വലിയ സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലേക്ക് ആണ് കൂപ്പുകുത്തുന്നത് എന്ന് നമുക്ക് അറിയാം. ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സമസ്ത മേഖലകളെയും പ്രതികൂലമായി ബാധിക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്ന ഈ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിൽ ഇത്തരം ചടങ്ങുകൾ പരമാവധി ചിലവുചുരുക്കി നടത്തേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ട്. യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം ഇത്ര വലിയ ഒരു സംഭവം ആക്കേണ്ട ഒരു കാര്യമാണോ ? ഒരു ചെറുക്കനും പെണ്ണും കല്യാണം കഴിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അറിയിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി മാത്രം ഇത്ര വലിയ ഒരു ആഘോഷം എന്തിനു ? ഇത് തികച്ചും സ്വകാര്യമായി മാത്രം നടത്തിയിരുന്ന ഒരു ചടങ്ങു ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ . ഒരു 25 വർഷം മുൻപ് വരെ വരന്റെയും വധുവിന്റെയും മാതാപിതാക്കളോ കുടുംബത്തിലെ കരണവന്മാരോ മാത്രം കൂടിയിരുന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു കാര്യമാണിത്. അതിന്റെ ആവശ്യമേ ഉള്ളൂ താനും. ഒരു പക്ഷേ ചിലരെങ്കിലും ചോദിച്ചേക്കാം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പണം ചെലവാക്കി ഞങ്ങൾ ഏതു രീതിയിലും നടത്തുന്നതിന് നിങ്ങൾക്കെന്താ ഇത്ര സൂക്കേട്‌ എന്ന് ! ഇവിടെ പ്രത്യേകം ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു കാര്യം ഉണ്ട്. ഒരു ആയിരം പേരെ വിളിച്ചു ഇത്തരം ( ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത ) ഒരു ചടങ്ങു നടത്തുമ്പോൾ അതുമൂലം സമൂഹം അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ചില ദൂഷ്യ ഫലങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട് . ആയിരം പേര് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന വാഹനങ്ങൾ ( ഒരു മുന്നൂറു എന്ന് കൂട്ടാം ) പുറം തള്ളുന്ന കാർബൺ ശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടത് ഈ സമൂഹമാണ്. ആയിരംപേരുടെ ഒരു പ്രവർത്തിദിവസം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോഴുണ്ടാകുന്ന ദേശീയ നഷ്ടം വേറൊരു ഭാഗത്തു . ഓരോ വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിന്റെയും ബാക്കിപത്രമായി നദികളിലും തെരുവോരങ്ങളിലും തള്ളുന്ന കോഴിഅവശിഷ്ടങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ... ഇതെല്ലാം സഹിക്കേണ്ടത് ഈ സമൂഹമാണ് . ഇത്രയുമെല്ലാം ഒരു സമൂഹം സഹിക്കുന്നതെന്തിനാണ് ? ഒരിടത്തു ഒരു ചെറുക്കനും പെണ്ണും കല്യാണം കഴിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് നാട്ടുകാരെ അറിയിക്കാൻ !!!ഇവിടെയാണ് ഒരു പുനർ വിചിന്തനം ആവശ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നത് . ഒരു ഗൃഹാന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത കുടുംബങ്ങൾ മാത്രം ( ഏറിയാൽ 25 - 30 പേർ ) ചേർന്ന് വിവാഹത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് തീരുമാനമെടുത്താൽ തീരാനുള്ള സംഗതിയെ ഉള്ളൂ . ചെറുക്കനെയും പെണ്ണിനേയും കാണുക ( ചെറുക്കനും പെണ്ണും തമ്മിൽ കണ്ടു ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ നാട്ടുകാർ എല്ലാവരും കൂടെ കണ്ടിട്ട് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഒരു വിശേഷവും ഇല്ല താനും) വിവാഹതീയതിയും സ്ഥലവും നിശ്ചയിക്കുക ഇതൊക്കെയല്ലാതെ വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിൽ എന്താണ് ഉള്ളത് ? വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം എന്ന ഒരു ചടങ്ങു പോലും നടത്തണമെന്ന് ഒരു നിർബന്ധവും ഇല്ല.
ക്രിസ്തീയ സഭകളിൽ ( പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഓർത്തഡോൿസ്, മാർത്തോമ്മാ സഭകളിൽ ) വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയമെന്ന ചടങ്ങിന് ഒരു കൗദാശിക പ്രാധാന്യവും ഇല്ല. ഇപ്പോൾ മോതിരം വാഴ്വ് എന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷ വിവാഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നടത്തുന്നതിനാൽ ആ വിധത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു കർമ്മവും വീവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിന് ഇല്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ കാർമ്മികന്റെയും ആവശ്യവുമില്ല. വിവാഹനിശ്ചയത്തിന് വൈദീകന്റെ ആവശ്യമേയില്ല . ചില മാസങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് നടന്ന ഒരു വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ കാണാൻ ഇടയായി. പല സഭകളിൽ പെട്ട 87 അച്ചന്മാരാണ് ആ വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് ! ഈ അച്ചന്മാരെ എല്ലാം നിരത്തി നിറുത്തി ( ഉത്സവത്തിന് ആനകൾ നിൽക്കുന്നത് പോലെ ) ഒരു ഗംഭീരം ഫോട്ടോഷൂട്ടും കൂടെ കഴിയുമ്പോൾ എന്ത് നേട്ടമാണ് ഇതുകൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത് എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാവുന്നണില്ല. ഇത്രയും പൊടിപൊടിച്ചു നടത്തുന്ന ചില വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയങ്ങൾ എങ്കിലും വിവാഹത്തിൽ എത്താതെ മാറിപ്പോയിട്ടുമുണ്ട് . ഇനിയെങ്കിലും അല്പം കൂടി യാഥാർഥ്യ ബോധത്തോടും സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രതിബദ്ധതയോടും കൂടെ നാം ചിന്തിച്ചു വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയം പോലെയുള്ള അത്യാവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത ആർഭാടങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവാക്കിക്കൂടെ ? അഥവാ നടത്തിയാൽത്തന്നെ ഒരു ലളിതമായ ഒരു ഭവനചടങ്ങു ആയിക്കൂടെ? അതുമല്ലെങ്കിൽ ബാലശങ്കർ നടത്തി നമ്മെ കാണിച്ചത് പോലെ എല്ലാവരും അവരവരുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ട് ചടങ്ങിൽ സംബന്ധിക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു വിർചൽ നിശ്ചയം ആയിക്കൂടെ? മലങ്കര ഓർത്തഡോൿസ് സഭ ഇക്കൊല്ലം നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന *ലളിതം സുന്ദരം* എന്ന "മിതത്വ സംസ്കാര പ്രബോധന പദ്ധതി" യുടെ ഭാഗമായി ബാലശങ്കറിന്റെ ഈ പുതിയ കാൽവെയ്പ്പിനെ സ്വീകരിക്കാവുന്നതാണ് . വേണേൽ ചക്ക വേരേലും കായ്ക്കും !!!!......
